Welcome to a festive Advent season filled with traditional Christmas atmosphere at the Dokken open-air museum. Experience a day full of sights, sounds and scents at the opening event on 29 November, featuring historical Christmas decorations, family workshops, dancing around the Christmas tree to organ music, traditional crafts, music and theatre – and the herring town recreated in gingerbread! Haugesund Husflidslag offers activities, displays of beautiful Christmas goods and a raffle. Cantus Vitale sets the mood with beautiful choral singing and period costumes. Haugesund Children’s and Youth Theatre invites you into the magic of Christmas. Haugalandmuseet fills the museum grounds and historic houses with life and festive atmosphere.
